Kix Guitarist Ronnie Younkins Went Missing Before Saturday Night Gig
Kix guitarist Ronnie Younkins went missing Saturday before the band’s gig in Hummels Wharf, Pennsylvania, forcing the band to perform without him. TMZ reports that the band went to pick him up in Maryland before the gig but he was nowhere to be found and wasn’t picking up his phone.
Younkins was found this morning, although it’s not clear how or where, allegedly “not in great condition and very upset.” He has a history of alcohol and drug abuse, most recently having been to rehab in 2015 for alcohol addiction. It isn’t yet known what happened last night that caused Younkins to miss the gig.
We’re glad that Younkins was found, and we hope he’s doing alright. We wish the best to him, his family and friends, and his bandmates.
Fan-filmed footage of the band’s show last night without Younkins can be seen below.
