Longtime AC/DC Singer Brian Johnson Now Hosts a Travel Show

0

Fans of AC/DC may recall that longtime frontman Brian Johnson was forced into retirement last year after being faced with the risk of total hearing loss. It seems he’s made a resurgence, though, not as a singer, but as the host of a new travel show!

The show is called Brian Johnson’s Life on the Road and it premieres in just a few weeks on the U.K.’s Sky Arts station. The show aims to reflect on Johnson’s rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and will feature a different guest each episode. The debut will feature The Who’s own Roger Daltry, with subsequent episodes seeing Lars Ulrich, Sting, Joe Elliott, and Robert Plant sharing the spotlight.

Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) had this to say about his experience on the show:

“I was quite humbled to be invited to do it because the guests that he’s got on the show are quite extraordinary. We spent about eight hours shooting the show. We were walking around the Temple Bar area of Dublin in the rain and wind. It was cold and horrible but we did spend most of it indoors at The Porterhouse HQ where he sampled Joe Elliott’s Louder beer.”

Looks to be a fun side venture for Brian Johnson, but here’s to hoping he can eventually return to the stage.
