Exclusive Track Premiere: Succumb, “Bedchambers”

0

San Francisco four-piece Succumb claim they take influence from “Canadian death metal, war metal, and ’90s Napalm Death.”

Sound absolutely fucking nasty? It is. So much so that we agreed to take on today’s exclusive premiere of the band’s new track “Bedchambers” despite being previously unfamiliar with them. We’ve since learned that they formed under the name Cloak in 2014, released a demo that landed them a deal with The Flenser, and went on to record their debut full-length the following year with producer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Bosse-de-Nage, Oathbreaker).

Really, though, you should let the music do the talking — press play on “Bedchambers” below, and allow yourself to be enveloped by the monumental wall of sound that does indeed somehow reference Canadian tech-death, vicious battle cries and England’s grindcore pioneers all at fucking once.

Succumb’s self-titled album comes out on May 5th via The Flenser. Pre-order it here.
