The Reunited Dead to Fall are Working On a New Album

We first heard that Dead to Fall were reuniting two years ago… now it seems they’re making an earnest go at the reunion, complete with a new album and even more live performances. From their Facebook page:

“We’re back…..

“If you haven’t figured it out yet, the original line up has been jamming over the last few months and working on some new material. We got together to do the vinyl release show for ‘Everything I Touch Falls To Pieces’ last summer, and wouldn’t you know it new riffs started pouring out. We’re working on a new record, coming out 2018 sometime. If you want a taste of the new stuff come out to one of these shows.”

It seems worth noting that this is not the version of the band is basically a hybrid of the line-ups that made the aforementioned 2002 release Everything I Touch… and 2004’s Villainy & Virtue. Other than vocalist Jon Hunt, none of the dudes involved in the making of 2006’s The Phoenix Throne or 2008’s Are You Serious? are part of this reunion. So if you, like me, are primarily familiar with this band because of “Chum Fiesta,” well, tough noogies.

In any case, here’s are the band’s upcoming live performances if you wanna go check ’em out:

April 8th – Davenport, IA – Villiage Theater w/ Ignite The Will
April 14th – Chicago, IL – Reggies – w/ Blood In Blood Out
April 15th – Austin, TX – Grizzly Hall w/ Anthrax & Killswitch Engage (Texas Independence Fest)
June 10th – Tampa, FL – Crowbar w/ The Absence
