Watch Robert Trujillo’s 12-Year-Old Son Make His Live Debut Playing Bass for Korn

As previously reported, Tye Trujillo, twelve-year-old son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, is filling in on bass for Korn on their current tour of South America while Fieldy sits in a dark room and wonders what he’s done with his life. Lil’ Tye made his debut with the band last night, and, naturally, fan-filmed video has now surfaced.

It would appear that Tye acquitted himself admirably. Still, it’s weird to see this little kid standing there amongst the members of Korn. He seems to have spent a portion of the concert standing on a riser, presumably to detract from the height difference between him and Korn’s regular members. But it still just looks like a kid standing on risers.

Watch the footage below. And keep your eyes peeled for Nepotismal Defenstration, the new band featuring Tye and Wolfgang Van Halen, coming soon!
