Siriun Release Video for “Intent”

Rio de Janeiro’s Siriun have debuted a video for their song “Intent” on Metal Injection; you can check it out below. It’s got some really beautiful, epic-looking drone shots in it; you’d hope something that could see that far in every direction would have been able to locate a better hook for the song, but we’ll take what we can get.

Kidding aside, there’s nothing really wrong with “Intent.” It’s perfectly pleasurable in the moment. There are some nice groovy sections, a sweet guitar solo, and Kevin Talley on drums, which are all good things. (Alas, unless Talley has really changed his hair recently, that’s not him in the clip.) But I’ve listened to it five or six times now and I can never really remember it when I turn it off, and that’s not such a good thing.

But I suspect many of you will like it much more than I do. And I wouldn’t even make fun of you for it the way I would if you tried to defend, say, Emmure. That’s something.

If you dig it, “Intent” will appear on Siriun’s new album, In Chaos We Trust, which comes out May 19. Pre-order physical copies here, and digital copies here.
