There’s something in the air this week, and it ain’t just pollen — it’s our old pal Doc Coyle!

The former God Forbid/current Vagus Nerve guitarist began the week with a bang when his new band, Bad Wolves (which also features former members of DevilDriver and Divine Heresy), released their debut single, “Learn to Live.” Now Doc has revealed that he’ll be temporarily joining Darkest Hour for their currently-in-progress tour of Europe! Says Doc via Facebook:

“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

“So the cat is out of the bag. I will be filling in on guitar for my homey Mike Lonestar from the the legendary Official Darkest Hour on a short European run. We are doing a couple UK shows, so I hope to see of those friends. This is an incredible opportunity and I couldn’t be more excited. Thanks to Mike Schleibaum, Tito Picon, John Henry, and Aaron & Travis for having me aboard. I’ll do my best to do you fellas proud.”

We here at MetalSucks are massive fans of everyone involved in this situation; as much as we love Lonestar (and have loved him since he was in At All Cost!), if there’s anyone we’re stoked to see fill in for him, it’s Doc. If you live in Europe near one of these shows, we strongly encourage you to attend… they should be a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
