Video: Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale Performs “I Will Always Love You” Live

Say what you will about Halestorm — any many not-so-nice things have been said, both here and elsewhere — but the power of vocalist Lzzy Hale’s voice is undeniable. She’s a monster behind the mic.

Hale’s voice was on full display at the HerrinFesta Italiana in Herrin, Illinois last weekend when she decided to whip out a cover of the Dolly Parton (and later Whitney Houston) classic “I Will Always Love You.” It’s one thing to hear Hale’s voice with a rock band blaring behind her, but it’s another entirely when it’s right out there in front of just a piano. She sound phenomenal here, her range and power on full display.
