Here’s the New Byzantine Single “Trapjaw”

0

Byzantine - The Cicada TreeIn case y’all haven’t noticed, I’m really, really digging the new Byzantine album The Cicada Tree. I placed it on my “Best of 2017… So Far” list, released earlier today, and I sung its praises when the band released the album’s first single, “New Ways to Bear Witness.” It’s exactly the album Byzantine needed to make right now, the next evolution in their sound, and a big statement for their first release on Metal Blade Records.

The band just released the record’s second single “Trapjaw” in lyric video form, which you can take a look at and listen to below. Moreso than the first single, this one is in line with the darker tones and feels on much of The Cicada Tree. If you’re curious what the album as a whole has in store, “Trapjaw” is a solid example… although things get even darker and weirder as the album goes on. You’re in for a treat!

The Cicada Tree comes out on July 28th. Order it here. Upcoming tour dates with Sacred Reich below the video embed.
