Most of the comments on our recent post about Chon’s then-new single “Waterslide” were positive, but one criticism in particular seemed to stick:
Which, OK… I certainly get it, there IS a lot of guitar noodling. But isn’t that kind of the point? Like, you know what you’re gonna get with Chon, so if you’re not into noodly guitars why bother? I’ve always felt that Chon’s guitar noodling came with a purpose, anyway; their songs are concise, and the noodling doesn’t go over the top. But, like I said, I get it — this stuff ain’t for everyone.
