The Devil’s Bastards (ex-Darkest Hour, ex-Periphery) Unveil New Track “To the Lost”

0

How’s this for a supergroup-worthy new band lineup:

Justin Reich (Vanisher)
Alex Bois (ex-Periphery)
Brian Lewis (Bloodjinn)
Kris Norris (ex-Darkest Hour, ex-Scar the Martyr, ex-Threat Signal)
Benjamin Earl
John Ryan Flaherty

(with respect to Earl and Flaherty, I can’t find any information about their prior bands; Earl is a co-vocalist here with Reich, and Flaherty plays bass)

The above six men comprise The Devil’s Bastards, a new outfit that sounds very much like the sum of its parts (in a good way): that Bloodjinn rollicking groove with Kris Norris’s Swede-inspired guitar trickery and Reich’s tip-top vocals. Alex Bois joined after the group’s debut album was recorded, but his addition makes a whole lot of sense given their sound (it’s also great to hear he’s back in action — he left Periphery a lifetime ago in 2011).

The Devil’s Bastards have released a single titled “To the Lost,” which you can check out below along with an album sampler. Their debut album will come out later this summer and was co-produced by Kile Odell (also ex-Bloodjinn) and Norris with select songs co-produced by Drew Fulk (Motionless in White, Miss May I) and Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me). Really looking forward to hearing this one.

Keep up with the band on Facebook here.
