Corey Taylor: “Chad Kroeger is to Rock What KFC is to Chicken”
Great news, gang: Chad Kroeger has called Corey Taylor and apologized say referring to Stone Sour as “Nickelback lite.” Everyone is now friends again and the two bands will be touring together this fall!
Just kidding, none of that happened. Instead, Taylor gave an interview to KISW 99.9 and said this:
“I’ll tell you what. This is how I figured it out. Chad Kroeger is to rock what KFC is to chicken. Is that wrong? I feel like I’m not wrong. I’ll still eat it, but I’m not gonna feel good about it. It tastes like the same thing.”
I tell ya what: my favorite part about this whole feud is how it has turned into a series of food-based metaphors. “Nickelback lite.” “The KFC of rock.” I fully expect Kroeger to somehow work an Arby’s reference into his next Stone Sour slam. That Taylor can retort with a joke about Tab. Then Kroeger can bring Cool Whip into the argument, and Taylor can respond with a wisecrack about margarine vs. real butter. And they can go on and on and on until they’ve exhausted every fast food restaurant and less-than-healthy grocery item or the world ends, whichever comes first.
Unrelated, anyone else suddenly have a craving for some chicken?
