Deafheaven’s George Clarke is the latest musician to reveal his ten favorite metal albums of all time as part of As part of Rolling Stone’s ongoing series about ‘The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time’ (previous participants include Metallica’s Lars UlrichJudas Priest’s Rob HalfordBlack Sabbath’s Ozzy OsbourneSlipknot’s Corey Taylor, and Gojira’s Joe Duplantier). There are no surprises here… I mean, I’m always a little surprised when someone says “I like Burzum,” but there are no real surprises here. • ColdWorld – Melancholie²,(2008)
  • Iron Maiden – Powerslave,(1984)
  • Leviathan – The Tenth Sub Level of Suicide, (2003)
  • Metallica – Master of Puppets, (1986)
