Perturbator Announces Long-Form EP, New Model

0

Perturbator - New ModelPerturbator’s legend has only grown since releasing The Uncanny Valley last year. The French dark synthwave phenom — already at the top of the genre — visited North America for a limited run of shows this past winter, and while I can only speak for the NYC date (which was completely sold out well in advance, and was OFF THE FUCKING CHAIN) I guess the rest of them did pretty well, too: earlier this year he announced a massive 25-date full North American tour for this coming fall!

MetalSucks can now exclusively reveal that Perturbator has a new EP in the works, too. Entitled New Model, the “long-form” EP — which, at more than 34 minutes, is certainly lengthy for a release with “EP” status — will come out on October 20th as a joint venture between Blood Music and Music of the Void (Perturbator’s own label):

“Composed in secret, “New Model” follows quickly on the heels of his Billboard chart-topping album “The Uncanny Valley” and explores the bleak and slithering circuitry at the core of modern life. Revelling in utter madness, gnarled and distorted low-end, and eschewing all modern rules of tempo; the 34-and-a-half minute EP enters quickly and cleans out your core, guiding you on a dystopian odyssey through the underbelly of fierce glitch and madness.”

Turns out we’ve already heard one of the songs on the EP, “Tactical Precision Disarray,” released late last year, which you can stream below. Here’s the full tracklist:

1) Birth of the New Model
2) Tactical Precision Disarray
3) Vantablack
4) Tainted Empire
5) Corrupted by Design
6) God Complex
