Watch At the Drive In’s New Stop Motion Video for “Call Broken Arrow”

How is the music world as a whole feeling about At the Drive In’s reunion record in • ter a • li • a, which came out this past May?

I’ll be honest with you: I haven’t listened to it. I checked out all the singles the band put out in the run-up to the album’s release — and I liked them well enough — but none made me come back, and I never got to the full album. And I say this as someone to whom Relationship of Command was an incredibly important and influential record. Are my feelings representative of the whole, and did the album not really connect with ATDI fans? Or is it fantastic and I’m just a lazy idiot for missing it? Do tell.

In any case, there’s a new video for the album track “Call Broken Arrow,” and it’s quite visually arresting. It’s a stop-motion animated clip directed by Rob Shaw, and it serves as a prequel to the band’s video for “Hostage Stamps,” which you can also watch below.

Please do tell me about in • ter a • li • a as a whole, though — I’m curious what you all think.
