Watch Living Colour Perform on Late Night with Seth Meyers

0

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend a live Q&A panel with Living Colour at a small venue in midtown Manhattan. The band has meant a whole lot to me over the years — basically my entire active music listening life (Axl dubbed me a copy of Stain on tape when we were eleven! on the other side was Vince Neil’s solo album Exposed) — and it was a fantastic opportunity to see them up close in a setting other than a show. The band did play a few songs from their new album Shade after the panel — and they sounded fantastic — but it was the opportunity to hear them all speak openly and honestly that was the real draw for me.

All of that’s got nothing whatsoever to do with the band’s appearance earlier this week on Late Night with Seth Meyers… I just love the band and wanted to share! It’s amazing that Living Colour are getting national TV opportunities this far into their career, although not really given how fucking great they still are (even if the audio mix here is shit — not their fault).

Check out new track “Come On” from the performance below, along with a powerful rendition of the Stain track “Wall” (how startlingly relevant is that song today? fuck). Shade is out; grab it here.
