Ghost Announce Tentative Time Frame for New Album

Naysayers can call Ghost many things, but “unproductive” ain’t one of ’em. Since exploding onto the scene in 2010, the band has released three full-lengths and two EPs. Papa Emeritus simply refuses to let his devotees want for catchy new jams.

To that end, the group is apparently already hard at work on their follow-up to 2015’s Meliora and this year’s Popestar EP. When interviewed (costumed as a Nameless Ghoul and not Papa) at the Metal Hammer Awards in Germany this past weekend, Ghost-ly mastermind Tobias Forge revealed that the band has been in the studio for roughly a month already:

“And by the end of the year, if everything goes according to plan — knock, knock — we’re gonna have a new album, not out, but we’re gonna have a new recorded and mixed and delivered. And hopefully that means that we’re gonna have a new album out by April — possibly, hopefully.”

So there ya have it. If all goes according to plan, spring will bring fresh blossoms and fresh Ghost music. Huzzah!
