Ghost May Be Releasing Something Called Ceremony and Devotion in December

Last we heard, Ghost were hoping to release their next album sometime around April of next year. But it now appears as though they may be releasing something much sooner.

Metal Injection reports that a Ghost-worshipper on Reddit reports that yesterday, Amazon briefly listed a December 1 release date for something called Ceremony and Devotion:

What is not presently clear is what exactly Ceremony and Devotion is. Fans are speculating it may be some kind of live release; I assume that speculation is based on the high price, which suggests either a double-album or an audio/video set.

I suppose there’s also a small chance Ghost didn’t learn their lesson from last Avenged Sevenfold surprise album debacle and are actually releasing a new record six weeks from now. But I think it’s a very small chance.
