Track Premiere: The Obsessed’s “Mental Kingdom” Demo

0

Doom fans, rejoice: after nearly two decades of being out of print, Relapse Records will reissue The Obsessed‘s self-titled debut full-length next month! The reissue will feature a completely re-mastered edition of the original album, natch, but to make it extra worth your while, it will also include the band’s extremely rare 1985 demo, Concrete Cancer. That makes this reissue a must-own whether your obsession with The Obsessed goes back years or is just now developing.

So, as you can imagine, MetalSucks jumped at the chance to debut the demo of “Mental Kingdom,” which is now available for your streaming pleasure below! You’re so welcome.

The Obsessed reissue drops November 17, and also includes expanded artwork, never-before-seen photos, and extended liner notes from the one and only Scott “Wino” Weinrich himself! Pre-order it here. The band is on tour with Cobalt right now; they then hit the road with Clutch and Devin Townsend at the end of November. All of the band’s currently-scheduled U.S. tour dates are at the bottom of this post. Don’t miss ’em!!!
