Rock on the Range 2018

Rock on the Range has grown into one of North America’s biggest metal festivals over the past few years — biggest in any genre, actually — and the 2018 edition will be no exception: the lineup is insane.

Tool, Avenged Sevenfold and Alice in Chains will be the headliners on the festival’s three days, with other bigger bands announced so far including A Perfect Circle (but no photos!), Stone Temple Pilots (with their new singer), Stone Sour, Babymetal, Trivium, Body Count and more. The undercard is stacked, too, with Quicksand, Baroness, Greta Van Fleet, Andrew W.K., Code Orange, Power Trip and others keeping the action going throughout the day. Rock on the Range may not be America’s most brutal/tr00 festival, but it’s certainly got something for heavy music fans of all shapes and colors.

The press release boasts that Tool’s appearance will be “one of the only shows from Tool in 2018.” Take that for what it’s worth. It’s also pretty special to see APC on the same bill as Tool!

The 12th annual Rock On The Range will again take place at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, OH on Friday, May 18, Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. Tickets and hotel and camping packages are available now on the festival’s official website.
