Video: Grateful Dead Fans React to Metal, Listen to Power Trip

What do fans of Dead & Company and metalheads have in common with one another? Intrepid MS reported Emperor Rhombus endeavored to find out when he ventured onto the patchouli-drenched streets outside of Madison Square Garden recently to talk to fans of one of the most iconic stoner bands in history. Do fans of The Dead know anything about metal?

Dead & Company, for the uninitiated, consist of former members of legendary stoner outfit The Grateful Dead. There was weed. LOTS of weed. Not that we’ve got a problem with that.

While not quite as knowledgeable about metal as Phish fans, we got some interesting and unexpected responses from fans of The Dead… and we even played them some Power Trip to get their reactions.
