Station Have Released the Best Firehouse Song Not Written by Firehouse
When I first clicked on the link to Station’s latest video for “Never Enough,” my reaction to the first few bars of music was this:
But once the full band kicked in around the 0:40 mark, I started to feel like this:
And then when that big, bombastic, sweet chorus took hold, I was allllll about it:
I’m actually pretty sure Beavis and Butt-Head would’ve already changed the channel by this point, but longtime MS readers know Axl and I have a huuuuge soft spot for this kind of ’80s metal — we grew up on the stuff — and Station deliver and then some with “Never Enough.”
It’s all here: the rousing pre-chorus, the sky-high vocals, the scorching guitar solo, the bassist with the circular shades, the drummer’s rock faces, the vocalist clutching his earphones as he sings earnestly into the studio mic, the super srs recording studio shots, the subdued color palette… a job well done to every single person involved with this! Bravo.
A full-length album release is planned for 2018. Visit Station on Facebook for more.
