Völur Go on Töurur

0

I was fortunate to catch Canadian doom trio Völur live at Prophecy Fest in Germany two summers ago, and we’ve been singing their praises here ever since. Their 2017 album Ancestors was phenomenal (stream here), and Axl liked it so much he put it in his “Best of 2017” list (I’m a fool for not including on mine, frankly — too many good albums!).

Now residents of the United States will get to experience the power and intrigue of Völur’s live show for the very first time: the band will head out on a 20-date tour with their labelmates 1476 this March. No, this tour won’t be hitting northeastern Montana or wherever, so hold your complaints to yourself, but it does cover a good portion of the eastern and middle U.S. which means plenty of doomy goodness for plenty of people. We’ll see you at the Brooklyn show, naturally.
