Do you like proto-metal-sounding bands that never got the memo about it being the 21st century now? Then you will Earthless and their new single, “Gifted by the Wind.” It’s catchy and wahm (warmth caused by wah) and fuzzy and jammy and masterfully recalls a time when bands had the ability to stretch a three-minute song to six minutes without being obnoxious and overstaying its welcome. You could tell me Earthless were touring with The Sword, Clutch, Black Label Society, or even the friggin’ Black Crowes for that matter, and I’d believe you.

If that sounds like your tab of acid, check out “Gifted by the Wind” below. The track comes off of Earthless’ new album, Black Heaven, which comes out March 16 on Nuclear Blast. Pre-order it here.
