Light the Torch, the band formerly known as Devil You Know, which still features Howard Jones, the man formerly known as the singer in Killswitch Engage, have debuted a new song, “Die Alone.” It’s their first release since they were forced to change their name as the result of a copyright dispute with DYK drummer John Sankey (who has since been replaced by Extinction A.D.’s Mike Sciulara)… but other than the new moniker, there’s no discernible difference between this and the old stuff. “Die Alone” is a st00pid-catchy nu-pop-metalcore song with good cop/bad cop vocals and production so polished you can see your reflection in it. It’s cheesy as fuqq, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like it. A good hook is a good hook, and who the fuck can go full-Portal all the time?

Check out “Die Alone” below. If you dig it, Light the Torch’s debut album as ‘Light the Torch’ is called Revival (get it?), and will be out March 30 on Nuclear Blast.
