Video: Adam D. Goes to the Bar and Does a Shot During Killswitch Engage Set

0

How many times do we think Adam D. has performed “The End of Heartache?” The song came out nearly 14 years ago and has been a staple of their live set ever since, so, doing some quick math here: let’s say KsE perform 60 shows per year on average (in reality it’s probably far more!) x 14 years, that’s 840 times. EIGHT HUNDRED AND FORTY TIMES. It would be an understatement to say that surely the guy’s got to be sick of playing the fucking thing.

So, rather than letting his mind wander towards babes or sports cars or that time he won The Price is Right or whatever the fuck else goes on inside Adam D.’s whacked head while playing “The End of Heartache” for the 841st time last night in Texas, everyone’s favorite fashion-forward metal guitarist decided to be one with the people: he headed to the venue’s bar and did a shot of whiskey, all without missing a note (OK, maybe a couple). These guys have gotta keep themselves entertained somehow, ya know?

This wasn’t the first time Adam D. has pulled off this stunt at a show: he grabbed a beer during a show in San Francisco last year with none other than Machine Head’s Robb Flynn. Dude knows how to make the most of his time: true multi-tasking! I just feel bad for poor Justin Foley, perennially stuck behind the drum kit playing one the most straight-forward songs in KsE’s catalogue. Someone bring the guy a little beef jerky tonight, eh?

Killswitch are on tour with Anthax right now. Remaining dates underneath the video.
