Will Haven Blow Their Own “Winds of Change” on Noisy New Track

0

Will Haven are one of those bands I’ve somehow completely missed. No good reason, no excuses, I just flat out never paid them much mind.

I know, I suck. But while we can’t change the past, we can make up for lost time, and now’s as good of a time as any to start: Will Haven’s new track “Winds of Change” is out now, and it’s about as different from the Scorpions’ wall-smashing power ballad of the same name as anyone could imagine.

Reduced to a very simple description because I’m new here — I’m sure their catalogue is far more diverse, so don’t @ me — fans of bands like Neurosis, Cult of Luna and The Dillinger Escape Plan should find a lot to like here. It’s post-rock-y and drone-y, but it’s also noisy and chaotic. It’s churning and visceral, but it’s also got something to latch onto. You will like.
