Video: Judas Priest Performs with Andy Sneap for the First Time

0

Judas Priest kicked off the North American tour in support of their new album Firepower at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Pennsylvania last night, and, as previously reported, Andy Sneap is filling in on guitars for Glenn Tipton, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. (It’s been said that Tipton may appear at some shows, but this wasn’t one of ’em.) Priest don’t have an insane anti-phone policy, so a shitload of fan-filmed videos from the show have surfaced online. The 66-year-old Halford still sounds good, and the band certainly sounds good, too. I’d still argue that with neither Tipton nor KK Downing involved, it’s still basically a glorified cover band. But it’s clearly a very good glorified cover band.
