Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway Are Back!

0

After almost ten years of lineup changes and hiatuses, System Of A Down’s Daron Malakian has announced new music from his side project Scars On Broadway. This is the first news of the band’s return since 2012, when the follow-up to their self-titled album was announced but never released. With that kind surprise comeback, I’m expecting no less than top notch material from Scars.

The first single from the album will be premiered next week, on April 23rd. At this point it’s unclear whether Malakian plans to tour with the band, as he’s the only member listed on their Facebook page. In fact, to clarify any confusion regarding the band’s lineup, the name has been officially changed to Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway. Regarding the name change, Malakian stated:

“Nobody quit. When I first started Scars, I always said that it would be different lineups from album to album. Depends on the type of direction I want to take. Different musicians work for different styles. That is partly why I added my name in front of the band’s.”
