Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland Has Released Two New Solo Tracks

0

In case you’ve missed our rantings and ravings over the past few years, Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland has been cranking out some high-quality music of late. Borland’s non-LB material is a far cry from “Nookie:” his latest Big Dumb Face album, released last year, was an exercise in grindcore weirdness, and his 2016 solo album Crystal Machete was a chilled out, mostly electronic affair best suited for a hookah lounge and a lava lamp.

Borland has shared two brand new tracks with Rolling Stone in advance of his upcoming FOUR HOUR (!) live set at Moogfest — set to take place May 17th through 20th in Durham, NC — and they’re very much in line with the material on Crystal Machete: ambient, electronic, eclectic, big and experimental. The tracks will appear on his next album Astral Hand, which he says is about 60% written. I’m very into both of these and can’t wait to hear more.

Meanwhile, Borland will be collecting that paycheck when Limp Bizkit headline the 2018 Rock Allegiance festival in Philadelphia this October. Le sigh.
