Stream Lamb of God’s (Burn the Priest) Cover of Bad Brains’ “I Against I”

The newly resurrected Burn the Priest (Lamb of God playing covers under their original band name) have released the third track from their upcoming album, their take on the classic Bad Brains jam “I Against I.”

“I Against I” is one of my favorite Bad Brains tracks, and I’m enjoying Lamb of God’s teched-up version of it. Make sure you also check out their cover of Accused’s “Inherit the Earth” and Big Black’s “Kerosene.” It’s remarkable how much Lamb of God sound unmistakably like Lamb of God despite performing under a different name AND playing other bands’ music — these guys could be playing a Tom Jones song on acoustic guitars and egg shakers around a campfire and you’d still know it was them within the first few bars.
