Cave In Announce Los Angeles Tribute Show for Late Bassist Caleb Scofield; Performers Include a Reunited ISIS

Tomorrow night, the city of Boston will celebrate the life of Cave In/Old Man Gloom bassist Caleb Scofield, who died in a tragic car accident earlier this year, with a sold out show at the Royale Nightclub. Now the band has announced a west coast companion show, which may have an even sweeter line-up than the Boston one. Not that anyone should complain about a bill that includes not only Cave In and Old Man Gloom but also Converge and The Cancer Conspiracy…

…but the L.A. show will consist of Cave In, Old Man Gloom, Pelican, 27, and, perhaps most excitingly, a one-time-only ISIS reunion. Although they’ll be performing as ‘Celestial,’ which is the name of their first album, I’m guessing because of how hard it is to put the name ISIS on a poster right now. But c’mon. A rose by any other name…

As is the case with tomorrow’s show in Boston, 100% of the proceeds will donated to Scofield’s family.

The concert will take place Saturday, October 13 at the Wiltern; tickets go on sale this Thursday, June 14. It will DEFINITELY sell out and it will sell out fast, so don’t dawdle if you want tickets. Get ’em here.
