Watch Beavis and Butt-Head Watch Portugal. The Man

If you’re like me, you know Portugal. The Man as “the people who made that ‘Rebel since 1966’ song that’s in the Vitamin Water commercials with the guy from Breaking Bad.” A quick Google search tells me the song is actually called “Feel it Still.” A quick Axl’s Brain search tells me none of us ever need to hear this goddamn song again. It’s catchy but they ran it into the ground in almost record time. Just thinking about it now makes me want to blow up Portugal. Which isn’t even fair to Portugal. It’s not their fault mainstream pop culture did what mainstream pop culture does (i.e., wring every last penny out of everything).

This makes the track far more tolerable, though: the group apparently commissioned Mike Judge to make a new Beavis and Butt-Head video as an intro for their live shows. And in case you were worried, no, the 90s greatest cultural critics have not lost any of their bite. Sample dialogue:

Beavis
Whoa! Is that a crime scene?!

Butt-Head
This whole video is a crime scene.

The clip actually has what I guess would be considered a “surprise ending” involving Butt-Head suddenly becoming articulate and — seriously — Pantera. It’s great stuff.

Enjoy:
