Exclusive Song + Music Video Premiere: “The Inevitable End” by Etherius

Fans of instrumental prog-metal, meet your new favorite band: New Jersey’s Etherius. The band was founded by guitarist Jay Tarantino, who cut his teeth as a touring rhythm guitarist for perennial MetalSucks favorite Angel Vivaldi. As you can probably guess based on that information, Etherius make intimidatingly shreddy, neck-snappingly thrashy, tastefully djenty, gloriously dorky prog that strikes the perfect balance between impressive musicianship and memorable songwriting. No one should be shocked if Tarantino turns out to be the next big obsession with the Gear Gods crowd.

MetalSucks is chuffed to debut Etherius’ new single, “The Inevitable End,” via the below music video, which was directed by Eric DiCarlo at SquareUp Studios. The track will appear on Etherius’ debut EP, Thread of Life, which comes out August 24. It’s available for pre-order now via Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play. You can also stream select tracks now via Spotify. Additionally, the band has live shows booked in July and August; details are at the bottom of this post!
