Guitarist Jeff Pogan Leaves Suicidal Tendencies

UPDATE, 3:03pm EDT: Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan has been announced as Pogan’s replacement! Details here.

Original Post:

Guitarist Jeff Pogan has only been with Suicidal Tendencies since 2016, but his time with the band has come to an end. Pagan cited only “personal reasons” for his decision to leave in a statement posted to his personal Instagram (which is private; screen shot here), but whatever those reasons are must’ve been pretty serious and/or urgent: the band is set to kick off a tour in less than two weeks. Here’s his statement in full:

“I have decided to leave Suicidal Tendencies for personal reasons. This means I will not be playing on any of the upcoming shows or tours. I wish the guys the best of luck and am grateful for all of the experiences I had with them.”

Suicidal Tendencies have yet to comment on the matter or announce a replacement. Here are their upcoming tour dates, with most of them in Canada:

Saturday, July 14th [Performing first LP] – House Of Vans, New York, NY
Sunday, July 15th – Inkcarceration Festival, Mansfield, OH
Tuesday, July 17th – Vogue Theatre, Vancouver, CAN
Thursday, July 19th – Union Hall, Edmonton, CAN
Friday, July 20th – The Palace Theatre, Calgary, CAN
Sunday, July 22nd – The Garrick Centre, Winnipeg, CAN
Wednesday, July 25th – Rebel, Toronto, CAN
Thursday, July 26th – Elements, Kitchener, CAN
Friday, July 27th – Parc Jean Drapeau, Montreal, CAN
