Original Post:

Claudio Simonetti and Goblin’s score for Dario Argento’s 1977 horror classic Suspiria is, inarguably, one of the best of all time, right up there with Bernard Herrman’s score of Psycho and John Carpenter’s immortal Halloween theme. Make no mistake: Argento’s bold use of color and operatic violence, the nightmare-logic intensity of his narrative, his daring tonal shifts… none of that stuff would work as well without Simonetti’s instantly-memorable music backing it up. It is one of the great works of its kind in its own right, haunting and provocative with or without the movie to which it belongs.

With Oscar nominated filmmaker Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name) set to unleash his much-talked-about Suspiria remake in the fall, complete with a new score by Thom Yorke from Radiohead, now is the perfect time to revisit the terrifying original motion picture and its shocking soundtrack. So, needless to say, MetalSucks leapt at the chance to sponsor an upcoming North American tour of intensely intimate special shows, at which Simonetti and Goblin will live score the soundtrack during a full screening of the film!

The highly anticipated experiential tour event will launch on October 28 in Baltimore, MD and hit 21 cities before wrapping on November 25 in Brookline, MA. Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin — the keyboardist’s critically acclaimed new version of Goblin — will also perform additional time-honored Goblin material at the shows.

These performances are already destined for greatness, and are NOT to be missed. Get dates and ticket links below!!!
