Peep Nothing’s New Track/Video, “Blue Line Baby”

0

Nothing are leaning hard into the ’90s grunge nostalgia thing, and I can’t say I mind it one bit: no one else is doing this right now! I’m into it. The other day I decided to listen to Siamese Dream in full, perhaps subconsciously inspired by Nothing, but who’s to say? It’s almost as if the umbrellas the band members are holding in their promo photo (above) are in anticipation of their eventual move to Seattle. In 2018 it all just feels very right.

The band’s newest single and video, “Blue Line Baby,” picks up right where their previous one (“Zero Day“) left off: fuzzed out guitars, whispy vocals, relaxed drum beats and, visually, plenty of pastel colors and soft focus shots. In other words it’s exactly as it should be.

Watch and listen below. Dance on the Blacktop comes out August 24th on Relapse Records; pre-order here. Catch the band on tour this fall; dates underneath the embed.
