Video: Every Time I Die’s Jordan Buckley Plays While Crew Disassembles Stage at Final Warped Tour Date Ever

0

Yesterday, August 5th, marked the final date ever of Warped Tour. It’s the end of an era for sure, and my social feeds were filled with a number of teary-eyed tributes from folks who made the journey down to West Palm Beach, FL just to be there for the final moment. While founder Kevin Lyman has indicated the “Warped” brand will likely stick around in some form (possibly one-off dates, as Lollapalooza did after the tour ended), the tour’s days as a traveling festival are done.

One person who refused to let go: Every Time I Die’s Jordan Buckley, who can be seen in a clip that’s gone viral riffing through the band’s song “Map Change” alone as the crew is literally tearing down the stage behind him. Twitter user @WaxAndrew00, who posted the clip, explained that ETID were the final “full run” band to perform, so while Pennywise technically closed down the day, the fact that they only played four dates made Buckley’s performance the final one for a band that played the whole run. Every Time I Die, of course, have also been on Warped Tour multiple times in past years. Jordan himself later saw the footage and replied on Twitter, “I will think about this on my death bed. And I guarantee I won’t not smile.”

Watch below. In case you’re wondering how the MS Mansion Monkeys feel about this, monkeys don’t go to shows, don’t be silly. Albert and Daisy are getting along quite well after this morning’s bonding ritual, though, which pleases me to no end.

Thanks to Snaximus for the tip!
