Final Lineup Revealed for Decibel Metal and Beer Fest L.A. (Now with Godflesh!)The folks at Decibel Magazine really love making us wait, but after two months of teasing they’ve finally revealed the final lineup for this coming winter’s Metal and Beer Fest, the sudsy headbanging celebration’s first show in Los Angeles and third overall. Here it is:

Saturday, December 1st:

Testament (performing The Gathering and The New Order)
The Black Dahlia Murder
Pig Destroyer
Khemmis
Necrot
Pounder *
Trappist

Sunday, December 2nd:

Triptykon (performing an all-Celtic Frost set)
Godflesh *
YOB
Power Trip
Skeletal Remains
Haunt
Wolf King *

Those bands marked with an asterisk have been announced in this latest round. Metal Blade Records and the Unibroue brewery are presenting the event along with Decibel.

That’s a helluva lineup, eh?? There’s really no excuse not to attend this thing if you live anywhere near the Los Angeles area. Shit, I’m considering attending and I live all the way across the damned country!

As for the “beer” part of the festival title, here are the breweries that will be pouring suds all weekend long: Unibroue (CAN), Phantom Carriage (CA), Three Weavers (CA) and Weyerbacher (PA) will be joined by flagship breweries Three Floyds (IN), TRVE (CO), Brash (TX), Adroit Theory (VA), Burial (NC), Hoof Hearted (OH), Societe (CA), Left Hand Brewing (CO), Hydra Brewing (SD) and Wayfinder (OR), while Wake (IL) and Black Sands (CA). I’ve heard of less than half of those, but that’s the whole point of events like this — discover some new favorites — isn’t it?

Tickets are on sale now right here. A standard “no beer” ticket for will run you $50 while a “beer and music” ticket goes for $95 (or $5 less for each if you want to sit in the balcony as opposed to general admission floor). Two-day passes go for $95 for just music and $175 for music and beer (or $10 less for balcony tickets). Get on it, because these WILL sell out!
