H.I.M.’s Ville Valo is Coming Back To Break Your Heart

0

It’s been nearly a year since H.I.M.’s final show in Helinski. Goths everywhere have been desparate to fill the void in their lives left behind by the heart-throb metallers, but if they would stop crying for just five minutes they’d be able to read this very important message:

VILLE VALO IS MAKING NEW MUSIC! NOW GET BACK TO CRYING.

Yeah, you read that right. Any bets on what the new project is called? Handsome & The Heartbreakers? Dreamboat & The Depressions?

Actually, they’re Ville Valo & Agents, and they were inspired by the late Finnish rock singer Rauli “Badding” Somerjoki. On what would have been Badding’s 71st birthday, Valo and Finnish band Agents announced they’ve recorded an album of unreleased songs from Badding, who had collaborated with Agents during his life.

“This story began three years ago when I found the three demo tapes sent to me. First thing I did was get in touch with Ville, ’cause dude’s got a hard-on for Badding,” Agents’ Esa Pulliainen says. “I am more than happy to see this dude finally come true, even after thirty years of delay, to record these songs, and now I feel that the promise is fulfilled.”

Expect a single from the album on September 21, and the full record to be out early 2019. Start stockpiling tissues now.
