Video: Ghost Pay Tribute to Fallen Fan in MilwaukeeTragedy struck Ghost’s show at Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater earlier this year as 52-year old Jeffrey Fortune of Dane County, WI collapsed during the intermission between the band’s sets and later died after being taken to the hospital. Ghost called off the rest of the show, vowing to play a make up date in the future.

Ghost fans organized to raise more than $10,000 to benefit Jeffrey’s family, and the band has pitched in with their own effort as part of the rescheduled date, which took place last night. A special t-shirt was available featuring the likenesses of Cardinal Copia and Jeffrey Fortune clad in Michael Meyers costumes (on the poster above), the proceeds of which will be donated to Fortune’s family.

Ghost frontman Cardinal Copia (Tobias Forge) took a few moments between songs last night to address the crowd and pay tribute to Jeffrey. You can watch that footage below and feel the very, very real love in the room. R.I.P., Jeffrey!
