Threatin’s Live Guitarist and Drummer Have Quit the Band Mid-Tour
Seemingly having had enough of the shitstorm surrounding Threatin’s current tour, live guitarist Joe Prunera and drummer Dane Davis have quit the band, MetalSucks has confirmed via multiple sources. Prunera and Davis are currently en route back to the United States while Jered Threatin and bassist Gavin Carney will finish out the remaining four dates of the tour.
Prunera and Davis were allegedly duped by Threatin as well, figuring they would be hired musicians for a guy who got a lucky break with a European tour. Sources tell MetalSucks the hired members of the band have had to pay for their own food and were unaware of the fake booking agency phony record label, false press, etc.
Yesterday the BBC reported that tonight’s show (November 11th) at the Empire Music Hall in Belfast would go on as planned. The Facebook event page for the show is rife with humorous comments left by Jered Threatin “fans” with some sharing their intent to attend the gig. It seems highly unlikely the 103 people RSVPed as “going” or the 122 marked as “interested” will show up given the pattern of purchased RSVPs on this tour’s previous shows, but at the very least it seems certain that a few curious onlookers will head out to the show, piqued by the drama that’s unfolded over the last few days.
