Exclusive Premiere: Justice for the Damned, “No Brother, No Friend”
Here’s what we know about Australian newcomers Justice for the Damned: they fucking rip! Their new song “No Brother, No Friend” is a furious concoction of hardcore and metal sensibilities, with down-tuned grooves that hit as hard as Code Orange, giant-sized riffs that stomp elephants alongside Gojira, a cacophonous roar that can hang with the likes of Vein and a little grim n’ frosty tremolo picking that would make any Emperor fan smile. The result is a brutal brew of heaviness that’s irresistible to any self-respecting metal fan. Oh, and we also know that Will Putney (Fit For An Autopsy, Every Band Ever) mixed this track.
Here’s what we don’t know about Australian newcomers Justice for the Damned: pretty much everything else. We’re told they released their debut album Dragged Through the Dirt in 2017 and that toured Europe in support of it, all news to us, but when they landed on our radar together with a music video for the brand new single we couldn’t help but accept their invitation to host. Yeah, “No Brother, No Friend” is that much of a banger! You’ll understand why immediately upon listening to “No Brother, No Friend,” which you can do below. Hopefully it’s a taste of what the future holds for this up and coming outfit.
