A Bring Me the Horizon fan named Ali Mills died at the band’s show last night at Alexandra Palace in London. After Mills collapsed, paramedics carried him out and tried to resuscitate him to no avail. He reportedly died of a heart attack.

Griffin Dickinson, vocalist of U.K. rock band Shvpes (who were not performing last night), was the first to report the news in a series of tweets which have since been deleted. Lambgoat recounts those tweets read as follows:

“Last night at a BMTH show I saw a kid die. He was carried out by 3 dudes & paramedics tried to resuscitate him to no avail. Please please please look out for people around you. Don’t leave it up for someone else. If someone looks unwell, CHECK on them. In any situation, on a tube, at a gig, whatever. I feel like British ‘awkwardness’ gets in the way of helping people. Don’t be afraid to call an ambulance. Don’t act like it ain’t your business. ACT on it. Rest in peace to that dude. Thoughts are with his family rn. ??”

A friend of Ali’s shared the following via Twitter as well (also since-deleted, or made private:

“Still in state of shock. Thank you to those who got him out, thank you to the medics who tried to save him. Ali was a good friend of mine. I was supposed to be with him & friends at BMTH show but something came up. Absolutely gutted. Rest easy Ali. Love & miss you.”

Wishing all the best to Mills’ family and friends, and all those in attendance (including the band) who witnessed this horrible and tragic death.
