Lamb of God’s Mark Morton Debuts First Solo Single, “The Truth Is Dead,” Featuring Randy Blythe and Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz

0

Well, that was fast!

Just a day after announcing his debut solo album, Anesthetic, Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton has released the first single from that album, “The Truth Is Dead.” You can listen to the track, which features vocals from LoG’s Randy Blythe and Arch Enemy’s Alissa-White Gluz, below. Unsurprisingly, given the involvement of Morton and Blythe, or very surprisingly, given that it’s a solo track, the song sounds very Lamb of God-esque.

Additionally, Morton has revealed the track list for Anesthetic, which is interesting mostly because it turns out that Morton is doing this shit Probot-style, with a different celebrity guest singer on each song. The one sure to attract the most attention is album-opener “Cross Off,” because it features late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. But there are some other interesting characters on it, including Testament’s Chuck Billy, Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age), Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge, Slash), Buckcherry’s Josh Todd, Oni’s Jack Oni, rapper/Sons of Texas frontman Mark Morales, and, uh, Jacoby Shaddix/Coby Dick from Papa Roach. Let’s assume he ended up on the record as a last resort. Rimshot!

01 – “Cross Off” (feat. Chester Bennington)
02 – “Sworn Apart” (feat. Jacoby Shaddix Of Papa Roach)
03 – “Axis (feat. Mark Lanegan)
04 – “The Never” (feat. Chuck Billy of Testament and Jake Oni of Oni)
05 – “Save Defiance” (feat. Myles Kennedy)
06 – “Blur” (feat. Mark Morales)
07 – “Back From The Dead” (feat. Josh Todd of Buckcherry)
08 – “Reveal” (feat. Naeemah Z. Maddox)
09 – “Imaginary Days”
10 – “The Truth Is Dead” (feat. Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy)

Anesthetic is out March 1 on Spinefarm. Pre-orders are here.
