There’s only one reason not to be excited about new music from Moon Tooth… and that’s if you’ve never heard of Moon Tooth. For who can resist this Long Island band’s melodious melting pot of genres? No one, that’s who. The quartet — singer John Carbone, guitarist Nick Lee, bassist Vincent Romanelli, and drummer Ray Marté — make metallicized hard rock so enticing we’re convinced it emits pheromones.

Take, for example, “Trust,” the first single from Moon Tooth’s sophomore full-length, Crux. The style-defying track combines visceral harmonies, punkish verve, funkish boogie, throbbing aggression, and arena-rock-worthy hooks to create something unique and instantly memorable. You could probably convince someone it was recorded by a supergroup featuring members of Coheed and Cambria, Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Extreme. “Trust” is that level of unusual and great.

MetalSucks is thrilled to debut Moon Tooth’s “Trust,” which you can check out via the below visualizer! Then go here to pre-order Crux in advance of its release March 29 on Modern Static Records. Pre-production for Crux was handled by the dream team of Machine (King Crimson, Every Time I Die) and Lamb of God’s Mark Morton, with Marté taking on production duties.

New York-area fans who should also note that Moon Tooth will play a show on January 22 at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar! This band slays live and are not to be missed. The bill also features Vaureen, Somnuri, and Fliege. You can buy advance tickets here.
