Will Rivers of Nihil someday bring about intergalactic peace, Wyld Stallyns-style? Probably not! But their 2018 release, Where Owls Know My Name, came about as close to universally-appreciated as anything can in these fractured times. Rivers of Nihil may never unify every living organism in existence, but they could definitely unify the modern death metal scene.

For example, is ANYONE gonna miss the band’s upcoming headline tour of the U.S.? The trek was a must-see when it was first announced last month… but now that the band has made this announcement, it’s a full-blown HOLY-FUCK-DO-NOT-MISS event:

“Due to popular demand, Rivers of Nihil will play their latest album, ‘Where Owls Know My Name,’ in its entirety at every date of their upcoming North American tour. The band will be bringing saxophone player Patrick Corona on the road to perform each set and guitarist Jonathan Topore will be handling additional keyboard duties. Don’t miss this very special opportunity to witness this critically-acclaimed album played live as it was meant to be heard.”

They’re gonna play Owls in its entirety! With a goddamn saxophone player and everything! FUCKIN’ A!!! Like I said, everyone is gonna go to this. We might as well hold hands and sing “Kum ba yah” before the show starts.

Dates for the trek are below, along with buy links for tickets. Support will come from Entheos, Conjurer, and Wolf King.
