Astronoid Offer Visual Melodies With Live Session of “I Dream in Lines”

0

I must admit that I had never heard of Astronoid before today (I know, I know), and I have no better way of describing them than to say that they sound like the soundtrack to post-adolescent nostalgia. The band offers the best elements of shoegaze, punk, and black metal tied up in a pretty package. If you’re a true die-hard of all things dark and filled with hatred, this band isn’t for you, but that shouldn’t stop you from viewing it with an open mind.

Their new live performance of “I Dream in Lines” from their newest self-titled album is a carefully picked medley of sounds, tones, noises, and ambient lighting meeting up to offer a visual experience that matches the dreaminess of the track. The riffs and drum cadences are an infinite build that swell up slowly like a bubble until the end of the video, offering a sweet climatic release that begs for more Astronoid.

Their newest full-length, self-titled album is available for purchase here. You can also stream it on Spotify here. Catch Astronoid live during their upcoming tour with Between the Buried and Me and Tesseract.
