Born of Osiris Stranded in Oregon Snowstorm, Featured in TV News Segment

0

A snowstorm in Oregon earlier this week shut down a section of the I-84 interstate highway for 12 hours and caused delays for much longer, creating a backup that went on for miles and forced hundreds of truckers and casual travelers alike to live in their vehicles for an uncomfortably long amount of time.

Among those stranded: Born of Osiris, who are currently on tour in the region and had to cancel their shows in Seattle and Portland as a result of the snowy mess. Fortunately for BoO they weren’t marooned on the highway or wedged in a snow bank, but due to the lack of chains on their vehicle’s tires they weren’t allowed to pass, ending up instead in a Walmart parking lot where, thankfully, plenty of amenities are obviously available. The Palatine, IL metallers had to wait out the storm for two days before being allowed to proceed, and they’ll resume their tour tomorrow in Sacramento, CA.

KPTV Fox 12 Oregon aired a segment on those travelers impacted by the storm and Born of Osiris got a healthy chunk of airtime in the bit, including a tour of their bus for reporter Bonnie Silkman. Watch below.
