Staind Reunion Is Officially a Go

I found out I need surgery this morning. And that’s still only the second worst thing I’ve learned today.

Staind, the nu-metal band responsible for a thousand eyebrow piercings, have announced that they’ll play their first show in five years at this fall’s Louder Than Life festival. In addition to reliably awful frontman Aaron Lewis, the band’s line-up will include guitarist Mike Mushy, bassist Johnny Aprilmayjune, and Sal Giancarloesposito, who was the group’s last touring drummer (the guy who actually played on all their albums, Jon Whysocky, is staying away for whatever reason).

Lewis tells Loudwire that the band is taking the reunion slow: “We decided that we were gonna put a couple shows on the books and just start there. Just kinda dip our toes and see what happens, and look at this from a distance.” So no tour yet, but it’s a possibility for the future. We can only hope these initial gigs go terribly so they decide not to proceed.

In the meantime, Louder Than Life will take place September 27-29 in Lousiville, KY, and the line-up is absolutely stacked, even with these shit-sippers stinkin’ up the joint. The line-up as it currently stands is below (via Metal Insider), with more acts to be announced soon:
